🎓 Getting Started with BMC Systems
Your step-by-step guide to access BMC email, SIS, Blackboard, and other learning tools. Simple answers to common questions to help you start your academic journey with confidence.
Q: How do I access my BMC email?
-
Go to https://outlook.office.com.
-
Log in with your student ID email (for example: 30000000@bmc.edu.sa).
-
For your first login , use the temporary password that was already sent to your personal email during enrollment.
-
The system will then ask you to:
-
Create a new password of your choice.
-
Add your phone number for multi-factor authentication (this helps protect your account).
-
👉 Once you finish these steps, you’ll be able to use your BMC email normally.
💡 Tip: Keep your new password safe and do not share it with anyone. Use your phone number for recovery in case you forget your password.
Q: Can I reset my email password if I forget it?
A: Yes! If you forget your password, you can reset it yourself through Office 365:
-
Go to https://outlook.office.com.
-
On the login page, click Forgot my password .
-
Enter your BMC email address (for example: 30000000@bmc.edu.sa).
-
Follow the steps to verify your identity. You will receive a code by:
-
Text message (if you added your phone number during your first login), or
-
Alternate email (if you set one up).
-
-
After verification, you can create a new password and log back into your account.
💡 Tip: Always use a password that is easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess. For example, use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
Q: How do I set up Microsoft Authenticator for my BMC email?
A: During your first login, the system may ask you to set up Microsoft Authenticator for additional security. Please follow these steps:
-
Download the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone:
-
iPhone (App Store)
-
Android (Google Play Store)
-
-
Open the app and tap:
-
Add Account (+)
-
Choose Work or School Account
-
-
On your computer, after entering your BMC email and password, the system will display a QR code.
-
After scanning, the app will connect to your BMC account.
-
The system may send a test notification to your phone, tap Approve on the notification to complete the setup.
👉 Once registration is completed, you will use Microsoft Authenticator to verify your login whenever required.
💡 Tip:
- Keep notifications enabled for the Microsoft Authenticator app.
- Do not delete the app unless you contact the IT Service Desk first.
- If you change your phone, you may need to set up the app again.
- Microsoft Authenticator helps keep your BMC account secure and protected from unauthorized access.
Q: What should I do if I change my phone or lose access to Microsoft Authenticator?
A: If you change your mobile device or no longer have access to the Microsoft Authenticator app, you may need to set it up again on your new phone. Please follow these steps:
-
Install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your new device.
-
Try signing in to your BMC email account at:
-
If you still have access to your old phone:
-
Approve the login request using the old device
-
Then go to your Microsoft Security Info settings and add your new phone/authenticator method
-
-
If you no longer have access to your old phone:
-
Contact the IT Service Desk for assistance in resetting your multi-factor authentication (MFA)
-
After the reset, you can register Microsoft Authenticator again on your new device.
-
💡 Tip:
- Always keep your recovery phone number updated.
- Do not delete the Microsoft Authenticator app before setting it up on your new device.
- When possible, add more than one verification method (such as phone number and authenticator app) to avoid login issues.
Q: How do I log into the Student Portal?
-
Go to https://sbc.bmc.edu.sa.
-
Click on “Student Sign In”
-
You will be redirected to the Microsoft Office 365 login page.
-
Enter your student email and password, as created in the first section.
-
Complete the sign-in process.
-
You will be redirected automatically to the Student Portal homepage.
Q: What can I do in Student Portal?
A: You can use the Student Portal to manage your requests and access a range of services, including viewing your financial information, tracking payment orders, and following up on your support requests. Additional services may also be available and will continue to be enhanced over time.
Q: How do I log into the Student Information System (SIS)?
-
Go to https://sis.bmc.edu.sa.
-
Log in with your BMC ID (this is the first part of your email before @bmc.edu.sa, for example: if your email is 30000000@bmc.edu.sa, your BMC ID is 30000000).
-
Use the password that was provided to you in the welcome email.
👉 When you first log in, your SIS account might look empty . This is normal, it just means your schedule and academic details are still being prepared. Once your courses and data are updated, everything will appear.
📌 Important: If you have questions about your courses, schedule, or academic details, please contact the Admissions Department (admission@bmc.edu.sa), not the IT Helpdesk. The Helpdesk can only support you if you have technical problems logging into SIS.
💡 Tip: Keep your login details safe. If you can’t access SIS, double-check your BMC ID and password before contacting support.
Q: What can I do in SIS?
A: The SIS is your main academic system. You can use it to:
-
Check your class schedule
-
View and follow up on assignments
-
Track your grades and results
Q: How do I log into Blackboard?
-
Go to https://elms.bmc.edu.sa
-
On the login page, click Sign in with a third-party account and choose your BMC college email.
-
Enter your BMC email (for example: 30000000@bmc.edu.sa) and the password you created during your first login.
-
The first time you log in, you may see a welcome screen. Scroll down and press Get Started! to continue .
💡 Tip: You can choose to “stay signed in” if you are on your personal device , but never do this on a shared or public computer.
Q: Why can’t I see my courses in Blackboard?
A: Courses appear in Blackboard only after your enrollment is processed in the SIS . If your SIS account is empty, your Blackboard will also look empty. Usually, this is fixed within 24 hours after your schedule is updated.
📌 Important: Your Blackboard account is activated only when the academic year starts . If you try to log in before that, you may not be able to access the system. Please wait until you receive confirmation from your Academic Affairs Department .
💡 Tip: If the academic year has already started and you still can’t see your courses, double-check SIS first, then reach out to Admissions (admission@bmc.edu.sa) (not the IT Helpdesk).
Q: Can I use Blackboard on my phone?
A: Yes. Blackboard has a mobile app for both iOS and Android:
-
Search for “Blackboard” in your App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
-
After installing, open the app and search for Batterjee Medical College .
-
Select Web Login , then enter your BMC email and password.
-
You will be redirected to the same login screen as on PC .
💡 Tip: Using the mobile app is a great way to get notifications about new assignments, announcements, or grades.
Q: What can I do in Blackboard?
A: Blackboard is your main online learning platform. You can use it to:
-
View your courses and course materials (lectures, readings, documents).
-
Participate in online discussions and class activities.
-
Submit assignments, exercises, or quizzes .
-
Check your grades and feedback from instructors according to BMC policy.

-
Send an email to ServiceDesk@bmc.edu.sa .
-
A support ticket will automatically be created for you.
-
You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your ticket , where you can track the progress and updates.
-
You can also follow updates directly from your email.
