About the Course:
The ECG Interpretation CPD Course is a two-day learning activity designed to provide participants with essential knowledge and practical experience in ECG interpretation.
The course covers cardiac electrical conduction, ECG monitoring and interpretation, normal sinus rhythm, and the identification of cardiac rhythms and their clinical significance.
The program combines lectures and Q&A sessions with hands-on practicum and interactive discussion.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the normal anatomy and physiology of the conductive system of the heart.
- Discuss electrophysiology as it relates to the normal electrical and mechanical events in the cardiac cycle.
- Outline the activity of each component of the electrical conduction system of the heart.
- Describe basic monitoring techniques that permit interpretation of an ECG.
- Perform a twelve-lead ECG.
- Explain the relationship of the ECG tracing to the electrical activity of the heart.
- Describe in sequence the steps in ECG interpretation.
- Identify the characteristics of normal sinus rhythm.
- When shown an ECG tracing, identify the rhythm, site of origin, possible causes, and clinical significance.
